Ok, so I finally got my steel pickaxe, decided to try breaking that wall on the first floor of the mine and what do I find: A new character, the Dwarf! He speaks some dwarf language (dwarfese? lol) and I don't know if there is a way to understand him, but this is my main question: What happens if you get to 10 friendship with him? I assume he gives you whatever is in the treasure chest he has, but what is IN the chest? Also it seems he's harder to get friendship with than normal people :/ I gave him an emerald (I found out his fav is gems, duhhh he's a dwarf) on his birthday no less and it didn't raise his friendship by even one point, so this might take awhile.

You need to get all four of the scrolls before you can really interact with him, and I'm not sure what happens when you get him to 10 hearts.

1. Getting all 4 dwarf scrolls donated to the museum allows you to speak with him. You can't befriend him until you can understand him, don't bother giving him gifts.

2. He owns a shop. His wares are in the chest. No reward, just shopping. He sells helpful items for the mines - bombs, elixirs - and a few cosmetics, like the "weathered floor" tiles and the dwarf scarecrow.

3. After you unlock the dwarven translation guide, there's a grave in the town that can be translated for a hint towards getting the best sword in the game.

ok thanks. Ohhh so his friendship won't go up until I can understand him. I figured it was tied to the dwarf scrolls. And too bad, not a treasure, but at least its a shop and a hint for the best sword.
