Is there a pattern for when the Trash Bear appears?

I gave him the first 2 items, then he was gone the next day, and didnt come back until the next month. I gave him the next item but it was late at night, so I went home and slept. then he was gone again the next day.

I dont remember the exact day but it was spring year 5 when i first saw him and gave him the first 2 things, and then summer day 8 when he came again. I just want to know when to look for him

Uh... I didn't even know he ever left. I gave him all 4 items on the first day I saw him. Maybe it has to do with weather? Did you check every day?

I would have said he doesn't come when it's raining but maybe there's more than just that. There's nothing specific on the wiki yet, so people may not have noticed a pattern as of now.

I didnt check everyday only reason i didnt is bc he asked for a pink cake in the middle of spring and i had no melons, so I didnt go back until I got one. I know the most recent time i went to see if he was there the day after giving him the cake it wasnt raining... maybe its just random :/

He should be there every day that it is not raining.
