Delete Items

Accidentally bought 2 pair of scissors from Marnie, can't delete one. Is there a way to destroy them? It was days ago, so restart is not an option

Most tools can't be thrown in the trash though

Can always just put it in a chest and put the chest in the way of an npc or bomb it to destroy it I guess.

Yeah I thought about that, but I'd be wasting 3 items. Well I wish I could destroy that item only.

Yeah, kind of sucks and a bit annoying you can't get rid of some items. Just throw it in a chest and forget about it I guess.

Edit: If you feel like using a mod, https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/93. Open the menu for the spawner and then you can trash the sheers from your inventory

Thanks but now that I think about it, I made many mistakes in this run and I'm a bit obsessive about items so I deleted the save and starting again a new one :p

Btw I accidentally discover another way of getting rid of machines, I placed the recycle machine next to the lake, then hit it with a tool and the machine sank. You can safely hit it with a magnetic ring though. (You can delete those anyway).

Yeah, I've lost a quite a few things by them getting dumped in the water.

I just find something new to remove your tool. If you go to secret wood do it step by step.
- crash the stump
- replace stump with a chest and put your tool or item in chest
- Go back to farm and sleep

Have you tried to sell it back to Marnie??? I found out that all my old weapon could be sold back, were i bought them by clicking on them. Of couse you dont get much gold, but you get rid of the stuff!!

hate to bump an old discussion, but for those still curious as to how they can dispose of stuff they can't sell or put in the trash can, just do this:

build a chest (any will do really) and take it to the Secret Woods, southwest of your farm. (you'll need to have at least a Steel Axe to clear the log blocking the path, let alone one of the stumps within)

after clearing said stump, place the chest where it used to be and deposit whatever it is you want to get rid of. when you wake up the next day, the stump will have respawned where the chest is, thus removing it and whatever was inside of it entirely.
