That's just my guess, however. I am not sure if multiplayer still works on the same basis as singleplayer mode does.
i wouldn't wonder if we get 3 Majors Shorts too... xD 3x purple "Special" Lettuce on the Fair Display...
for me it appears that the farm and the main plot (community center / joja) are shared but the individual quests can be done by everyone separated.
heck.. even the museum donations are separated... we ended up with a quiet a few melon seeds for the first summer $$$
Donations are shared. I've played with my son and only one of each item can be donated to museum, no matter who does it. Rewards though are separate: we have 2 chicken statues already, and got double cauliflower and melon seeds, and an ancient seeds and a recipe - 1 for each of us.
weird thing... seems that this was updated for me the next day we played together.. i had to remove 2 diamonds we all had donated.
meh... 1500 additional cash xD
