Any way to downgrade the game to 1.2.33?
I found a guide for downgrading to 1.0, but I can't find the ID for version 1.2.33 (pre-multiplayer). Where might I find it?

The ID is different for each OS and update. So, you'll have to figure out which you need, but SteamDB will give you that info: https://steamdb.info/app/413150/depots/

I've used it before for the same reason; having multiple versions of games is helpful for beta-testing & such.

Out of curiousity, what do you not like about 1.3?
Mno Aug 2, 2018 @ 11:41pm
Mainly the fact that it's a mandatory update.

I believe if you buy the game from GOG, you can download version 1.0 of it. You will have to manually update the game if you buy that version.

That's how games work though.

I don't get why you wouldn't want 1.3? It just fixes some bugs, add a multiplayer mode which you can ignore, and adds new content?

on PC no, you can always downgrade on PC, thats a reason to get a PC version over a console version, downgrades exist

They dont except very rare occasions. Name one game that allows you do that. Only way to downgrade is to download a cracked version

Definitely not always, and hardly a point people would consider when choosing between a PC and a console.
Is there an actual reason you want to downgrade? Outside of you not being able to do so?

^another reason why I don't like this update.

Anyway I'm not here to debate, I just want to know the update ID for 1.2.33 so I can downgrade. If you know it, great. If not, take a hike.

I have the GOG version as well. I want to downgrade the game to 1.2.33. From what I've seen that's only possible with the Steam version.

E-mail the dev/publisher. If there's an ID for it, that's your best chance.

Welp, it's your choice, but you'll miss out on a lot of single-player content that is available in 1.3. You can ignore multiplayer threads and the feature itself. It was a mandatory update because it was promised from the beginning, this game isn't like the Sims where you can buy DLC to add to your game. lol

Actually it's mandatory because Valve doesn't know better. It's optional on GOG (sort of), I just woke up too late and forgot to make a backup of the 1.2.33 installer.

I will try that.

It's "optional" because they don't have a platform like Valve has Steam (well, they have one in beta), so they have to provide the updates separately. If the publishers/devs wanted to, they could provide an option for downgrading here too, like RWS does with Postal 2 for example. It's not up to Valve. There's also hardly ever any demand for it, at least with good reason. Not to argue, but you can't really come up with a good reason for it either so far.

If you don't like the multiplayer requests, downgrading won't stop them. It's idiots who can't read that post them in this section of the forums. Mods are moving them as fast as they can. I just ignore and go on. If I want to play multiplayer, I go to the multiplayer forums and find people there.

Oh, I wish there was more than myself, the one active mod... but yes, I'm moving them to the multiplayer subforum every few hours/when I check Steam.
