Copper Trashcan upgrade?
Has anyone figured out what this does? I gave Clint the required copper ingots and when it was done he gave it to me but I don't see it in my inventory? Does it boost your trashcan scrounging ability to Legendary Linus level?

It gives you a % of the sell value of the item when you trash them from your inventory. If I recall correctly its 15% for copper 30% for iron 45% for gold and 60% for iridium.

I don't think I have ever trashed any minerals. That was rather pointless. Like Clint.

You misunderstand; the trash can in your inventory gets upgraded, so anything you throw away gets refunded a bit. It's mostly only used at "endgame" when you're mining or fishing a lot, and your inventory is overflowing with junky artifacts or weapons/rings/boots. You can throw away that nautilus fossil, or that lead rod, and get like 90g for it.

It's not very useful, it's just a slight boost to garbage.

useful if obtained early since you will get a lot of junk while mining and can't keep it all.

I guess for some folks it might be useful, but in the 400+ hours I have under my belt I think I've trashed an item maybe 10 times at the most. I either hoard it or sell it for every last penny I can get for it. Just my play style. I think it would have been better to increase your chances of getting good stuff in the trashcans.

It helps if you're rummaging in the mines. You've got tons of moderately valuble stuff but what you're looking for is iridium. Now instead of leaving the gems lying around, you can Garbage them for a little extra cash.

It also counts as a sink, because why not have sinks?

It is a neat idea but this upgrade would probably never pay off.
