Emily's Sewing Machine

Hey! Just seeing if anyone had a similar problem or advice on access to Emily's sewing machine. I have the cloth and she has yet to visit me. I do have at least 7 hearts with her, but I read that doesn't matter. Does the cloth need to be obtained from the loom? I've read that others just picked it up from the trash can and she visited them the next morning. I'm really wanting to get some new clothes for my farmer. ;(
Any advice on what you did to get access would be appreciated.

I wonder if it's because I received the cloths I have before the update so it doesn't register? ?

Maybe, she visited me after the update when I got cloth from the skull cavern.

I got a cloth from the Traveling Lady and turned it into a bundle at the Community Center. The next day she visited me and I think I only have 2 stars with her.
Edit: Actually I only had 1 heart with her.

Just to continue on to this for a bit more clarification (I guess):
I got a cloth from the recycle machine. I have no hearts with Emily. It was the middle of winter. I didn't ship the cloth and instead went to bed (Too late at the time to go to the Center). In the morning the cutscene played.
tl;dr I'm quite certain it's a flag that is triggered when you receive your first cloth after the update.

i have 8 hearts with emily and i have the same problem!
i had cloth before the update on my previous save (which i'm still using), and it didnt trigger, so i made cloth on the loom twice and it still hasnt triggered.
it's really disappointing! seems like a bug.

looks like other ppl are having more luck with *finding* cloth, or just starting a new save. i'd like to be able to tailor on this save!

aw, Godzilla, I was hoping once I have got new cloth from loom or trash she'd show up, but now im discouraged. I really don't want to start a new save, :C

I made cloth from the loom and the next day she appeared. I think if you get cloth after the update she should trigger. (Maybe you might need more then 1 cloth? It was spring too when i got Emily to visit)

right !!! it is a bit discouraging *sigh*
that being said, concernedape will for sure see all our reports when he and his team get back from Thanksgiving holiday time and fix this and other issues, for sure!
all we gotta do is wait a few days :)

i made 2 cloth.....
i think i should try uninstalling and reinstalling and see if that fixes it

IT FINALLY WORKED

but actually i didnt do any reinstalling or anything.
i wonder how come it took her almost an in-game week to finally come by?

it was a bad luck day, saturday 27 of summer, 8:20am (which is the time i usually finally leave the house. i gotta lotta plants to water ok)

Yay! i don't know why she took so long after you made that cloth. She visited me after I traded 3 aquamarines for a cloth. Finally we can make our farmers look cute <3

ya idk either lol
i'm glad that she finally came tho im so excited! i think i've already used 20 bolts of cloth. i bought 4 new sheep and 2 rabbits

i do have another complaint tho. my pre-existing sheep is bugged and hasn't produced wool in almost 1/2 a season! i'll just have to remember to report these as bugs...
how do we do that btw? it's not still on the chucklefish forums is it?

I know there is a post in reddit where people post their bugs post-1.4 update and Concernedape reads them, sometimes replying. I'm not sure where else to report, hope your issue gets fixed!
