Do you guys know of a mod that skips the Fishing minigame (or makes it automatic)?

I had the "Skip Fishing Minigame" mod, but it's not working on 1.4 anymore.

I've tried a mod called Easy Fishing, but the minigame is still required, so it doesn't help me.

Have you tried CJB Cheats Menu? The fishing cheats are instant catch, instant bite, always max cast, always treasure and durable tackles. As well as many more and very easy to use.

IDK your mod, but I just tested instant catch. Just click when they bite and instant perfect catch. I mainly use CJB for warping around and pausing time.

I don't get why peoples hates fishing minigame... Man, it's so nice when you caught a legendary fish after a nice battle.

people are getting more and more lazy these days.. it's all about instant gratification and chasing everything so quickly that people miss the essence of stuff.

In my case, it's not the "instant gratification" thing. Nor is it lazyness. If you knew me, you'd know I'm the exact opposite of that (I'm the kind of guy who doesn't mind spending hundreds of hours just grinding in a game, for example).

I have an issue in my brain (caused by a recent health issue) that makes my reflexes complete garbage.

Ever since this happened, I can't play anything that require fast reflexes, and that's why I'm mostly focused on RPGs, relaxing stuff like farming sims and games that favors exploration more than dodging attacks.

Shame, since I sued to love playing pinball games. Now my brain doesn't respond fast enough for me to even get close to touching the ball with the paddle.

To add, I have nerve damage from some medications when I was a kid, and I have a connective tissue disorder that means my joints are significantly less responsive than most people's. Not everyone has conditions like mine that mean they *can't* do frantic activities like most fishing mingames. But this is a game, so if people don't want to deal with part of it, that doesn't mean they're lazy.

must feel bad to be so judgy :) in a game as moddable as this it's perfectly fine to mode whatever for whatever reason

Man, I feel bad for you guys then. Fishing minigame is tons of fun. Infuriating, but fun nonetheless. Hope you have fun with Instant catch though ^^

If you can't find a mod, there's a new beginner rod to help you level up enough to get crab pots, and then you can do that for XP. The crab pots aren't great profit, but will make fertilizer and sashimi.

If you're trying to fish for profit, though, you'll need a mod, based on your condition.

The only reason I even bother fishing is to get the fishes needed for the water tank in the communty center. And do some recipes here and there.

Anyway, I'll just try CJB Cheats Menu. I'll probably not use it for anything else other than fishing anyway.
