Smapi wont unzip
when i try to install the smapi zip it downloads but when i try to open it gives the the error of the application not being found,
am i missing somthing?

extract the .zip file somewhere but not in you game folder
double click install on windows.exe (or install on windows.bat in smapi 2.8+) and follow the instructions the installer will detect your game and add smapi for you

when i download the game it goes into downloads not as a folder either it is labeled SMAPI-2.7-installer. i am unable to do anything but open it but when i double click it gives me the error so...

u got 7zip or winrar installed on your computer as a program like that is needed to unzip the folder

If you have both
Right click the file and press "Extract"
That's all, really.

If you can't, then Right click, "Open as" and search for winrar or 7zip
