How do people break multiple stones when mining ?

So on youtube i've seen people mining multiple stones at a time, same as with watering crops and tilling soil ?

With watering and tilling if you hold the mouse when you click, your character will start 'focusing' and a grid will appear showing where you'll hit multiple areas at once with that tool for the energy cost of a normal, single use. Better material tools give much larger grids the longer you hold the button. For mining, however, this isn't the case as the pickaxe will ever only hit one square at a time. It's possible these people were using bombs that will definitely knock out multiple stone and ore nodes at once.

Thanks! Do you think they used a mod for the mining ? It was not bombs.

It must've been a mod. Upgrading the pickaxe never increases the number of rocks it can hit, it only reduces the number of hits it takes to break them.

They probably just position themselves correctly where they can hit the next rock without stopping. As long as you're facing two rocks and have your character right, you can hit both, but not necessairly at the same time. Not to mention, if your pickaxe is upgraded, it can do it quicker with the same two rocks, making it look like it was mined at the same time. I usually do this without trying most of the time. lol
