Easter Egg? Mermaid outside Night Market sub.

Has anyone else seen the mermaid swim by while fishing in the sub. She shows up behind the captin guy...sooo sea monsters and mermaids are actually things in Stardew cause that can't be a lady in a costume do to how far down you are (Blob fish live 600m-1200m down, the farthest someone has gone WITH scuba gear is about 330m)

If you walk to the opposite end of the dock from the submarine; down a plank from the purple vendor and then right, you'll find a surprise.

Honestly, that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, since the Community Center is populated (infested?) with faerie-like Junimos, there's a honest-to-betsy wizard living in town and the mine is crawling with slimes, ghosts and golems. ;)

Well yeah its obvious alot of monster and stuff is in the games world, just trying to point on theres a mermaid too

If you mean the mermaid show then I kinda assumed those weren't actual mermaids and just ladies in costumes

Yep! I meant the show. I think they are suppose to be actual mermaids. And when you get married, you propose with a mermaid's pendant too.

I just assumed there weren't actual mermaids being there has to be some supernatural/paranormal things in the Stardew world that are still not believed

Stardew Valley isn't in the same universe as ours, elves, dwarves, ghosts, animated skeletons, magic, etc, are all relatively commonplace
theres literally a cage full of skeletons on Spirit's Eve, and quests for killing monsters, the entire adventurer's guild is a thing too
