Does Luck help in finding Artifacts?

I love Stardew Valley, but this RNG stuff is just annoying. If I increase my Luck via food, does that help in finding Artifacts via tilling in the mines/Skull Cavern?

For digging in the mines/Skull Cavern, I believe it does. But it doesn't affect the "artifact spots" you can find around the world, to my knowledge.

Hmm, so it only affects my chances of finding Artifacts via tilling? That's kinda sad.

Well, it also increases the likelihood of getting treasure chests while fishing, which can contain artifacts, so it indirectly helps there. But yeah, for those few artifacts that can only be obtained from overworld spots, there's not much that can help.

Agreed, and that makes finding some of them a PITA.

According to the SDV-wikia, luck does not affect "drops" from tilling. Niether does it influence the loot you get from monsters or the contents of geodes.

Do you know where the artifact you are looking for can drop? Some appear only in certain areas.

And if you should be looking for a prismatic shard... good luck! I really, really, really hated hunting for it. In this case though, luck does help, beacuse it increases the cances of finding ladders in the mines and the skull cave and thus the chance of reaching the nodes with the highest chance of finding one.

You see, the funny thing is I've got 4 prismatic shards already lmao. The problem i'm having is finding missing artifacts like the 2 Strange Dolls, the Prehistoric Vertebra etc.

It's just annoying to have to be at the mercy of RNG to find these artifacts.

The strange dolls? I seem to get them rather often, mostly when tilling ground on my farm. AFAIK, they can drop pretty much everywhere. The vertebra was also not to hard, found at least 2 or 3 around the bus stop.

As for the RNG- yes, oh yes, it's frustrating. I knew where to look for the tibia, roamed the areas over and over and it still took nearly one in-game year to get one.

As for the prismatic shards- how did you do that? I'm desperate for some advice.

Have you been gathering the Secret Notes? As I recall, at least one of them leads to a guaranteed Strange Doll. The Vertebra is one of the three I still need to complete my collection, so I know how painful that one can be to obtain. I only ever seem to get clay and mixed seeds from the Bus Stop.
