How do I restore default graphical settings?
So, until last night I have not TOUCHED the graphical settings of my game because I liked how it looked. In a moment of stupid, I changed the resolution of Stardew Valley from Windowed Borderless to Full Screen and now the resolution is ALL KINDS of messed up. No matter the resolution, the tool bar is obscured, I see too much or too little of the screen, and trying to fix the problem causes Steam to have a stroke and crash.

How, apart from uninstalling the game then reinstalling it then starting a new game then saving then hoping back into my old game, do I get the graphics BACK to their default setting?

Try verifying the game cache? Right-click Stardew in games library, select properties.

It should reset the game to the default mode... At the very least it fixes any problems caused by save file editing and mods. Hopefully it'll fix your resolution.

Maybe back up your save file just in case. Copy the folder and put it somewhere else.

possibly deleting startup_preferences in AppData\Roaming\StardewValley would do the trick

Thank you! I did something similar. Clearing the startup_preferences worked!

Thank you. I meant to reply years ago but life happened and I completely forgot until today. This did help.

Thank you. I wrote this down as a possible solution and forgot to say thank you.
