We used to be playing with the beta code, and then she would join me by using the invite code that i can display on my game (host).
Funny enough, both her and I have the same game version 1.3.28 and she still gets the option to "Enter invite Code".
Maybe this was a bug on the current update? Because it is not consistent to have an option to insert a code and not being able to generate one...
Mind you, we are on the same WIFI network in my house. I did select on my game server online and offline option. And she did type in my lan ip.
Before today, we never had issues connecting.
So what happened is that steam somehow removed the BETA mode from the game on both mine and my gf pc.
So if you re-insert yourself into the beta program and fill in the code for it again ... once you start the game you will see the "show invite code" again.
Cheers!
Last time (~a month ago) I tried all kinds of solutions, before opening my Steam to try uninstalling and reinstalling-- only to find that Stardew needed to update.
That fixed it for me then, I had the "Show Invite Code" button while online on the server, and I was able to invite my friends.
Now I'm experiencing the same issue; the buttons are gone underneath the 'Multiplayer' heading in the Game tab, and Stardew does not need to update. I'm running it vanilla, no mods.
Anyone found a solution?
It seems to be an update incoming that has something with the coop. thing so... i hope it will be repaired with that... by the way, i'm in the same situation
This worked for me;
I uninstalled the 2013, and repaired the 2015s, both x64 and x86, and I chose to repair the more recent versions as well.
Something in the running of the software (Stardew) doesn't play nicely with Microsoft c++; once I repaired it (No re-install of the 2013 required) my laptop was able to run Stardew and read it again just fine.
Hope that helps!
