Can't Pick Up Linus' Basket

Title. I see it sitting there, right by the road, but no matter what i do i can't pick it up. I've right clicked it, left clicked it, hit it with every tool in the game, gone up to it with an empty inventory, and nothing works.

That's strange. You have room in your backpack for it, right?

Did you go there by the bus stop and making a left in order to go onto the actual road itself?

Yeah, I went with an empty inventory and even bought a backpack upgrade to be sure.

Were you right next to it? Did you right click or left click?

Yes, right next to it on every side I can reach. I tried both clicks.

Have you tried doing it with an empty hand while not holding any item and tool?

Do you have the quest in your Journal? (I'm thinking you could know it's Linus' basket from seeing it on video or somewhere, but haven't opened the quest yet in your game.)

Yes, it's in my Journal and I've viewed it.
