The only thing I could find. There aren't a lot of them.
You can always commission someone to make a mod for you, or learn to make them yourself, if you aren't happy with what's available
you said yourself there was a perfect one that got stopped due to lack of commissions
I imagine it's more because the Stardew Valley community isn't that big on modding portraits (there were only about 50 last time I checked Nexusmods), or that furries aren't attracted to SDV as much as others, for whatever reason.
Like you said, OP is definitely better of commissioning or requesting portraits from someone.
Well, I guess it's time to learm how to draw Pixel-art.
Any starting help?
http://makegames.tumblr.com/post/42648699708/pixel-art-tutorial Is a tutorial on creating a sprite

Moding is not rocket science so go for it

BUT this modder mention that this mod is going to be finished some day
He personaly is one of Nickelodeon animator/artist (Invader Jim series)
BTW i never, ever heard about modder doing mods for $$$, and stoping cos "nobody pay him"
(well except some mods for Skyrim, Bethesda uh oh...)
I'm not into furries, but omg, those are cute. If I wasn't so terrible at installing mods (either I suck at it or I'm just unlucky), I'd install those myself.
Furries are absolutely freaking everywhere.
The problem is, that they have gotten such a dark reputation, that (usually) only the most bold and degenerate ones will actually stand up and self-identify as one in public.
That, and there's even some debate about what a furry even *is*.
Some people would call me a furry, but I don't identify as one, because I don't do a lot of the things that many furries do, such as dressing up in suits, or thinking I have an animal spirit or something like that. Just occasionally looking at some art here-and-there doesn't make one a furry, nor does a little text-based roleplay now and then (I used to do plenty of non-furry RP too with human characters).
They tend to just hide in their dark corners of the internet, because the "loud and proud" ones give them all a bad name. And anybody who could remotely be classified/accused as being one, tend to hide their activities because they don't wanna have to deal with the negativity.
The OP in this thread asking the question, they are rather brave in doing so.
EDIT: After checking the links above in curiosity, the "Anthro Characters Continued" ... eh, I'm neutral about. Some of them have some odd perspective ... "flaws", like some of the characters with snout faces look a little weird because the artist seemed to have problems drawing a character with their head turned slightly to the side.
I find it hilarious, though, that they turned Morris into a toad haha. That's some top-level humor there.
