You're fine, I haven't completed a single room yet and my progress is still there

It took me almost 2 yrs to finished all I had to get to complete the community center. Plus I never asked for help, I did it everything on my own, but your okay,

Some of what you need for the community center won't commonly show until after year 1 anyways. You're fine :P

The center never gets reset (unless Joja bulldozes it)

Nope, won't get reset.

P.S: In my opinion, the fish tank is the hardest!

It's almost impossible to complete the Community Center in the first year, unless you really know what you are doing, because some of the items required are only available in season x or y, meaning if you miss them you only get another chance on the next year. That said, if you are carefull, you should be able to complete most bundles in the first year.

But there really is no rush, as the game has no time limit. You say about completing it on the first year, but the real "time limit" people mention is the evaluation at the start of year 3. Meaning even if you care about it, you have 2 years, not 1. The evaluation can also be repeated as many times as you'd like, so if you don't have everything at the start of year 3, there is nothing to worry about.

There is no reason to restart the game over missing something on the first year unless you are like me. And by that I mean that it's common for me to start a game the first time, get to understand the mechanics, and then restart a couple of times untill I'm satisfied with my character/ my progress, which is the way I've been playing RPGs and such for the last 20 years or so, and old habits die hard. Otherwise, this is a very forgiving, chill game, and you have nothing to worry about.

You can complete almost everything year one except for the bulletin board because one of the bundles asks for a year 2 crop called red cabbage. You CAN get it through the traveling cart early but thats kind of rare.

If you get lucky you can get it from planting those mixed seed packages which you can get from cutting weeds and hoeing dirt at random. Not a sure thing - but a possibility.

As far as I'm aware, the only year 2 seed that is part of mixed seeds is artichokes. I'm pretty sure that red cabbage isn't

Yes, my bad. Just checked the wiki - you are correct. I guess I bought it from the travelling merchant...
