TIPS FOR WINNING THE GRANGE DISPLAY AT THE STARDEW VALLEY FAIR

Hi guys, I'm hoping I can help some of you out there have a better chance of winning the 1st prize at the Grange Display, which is 1000 Star Tokens . :)

Use items from as many different categories as you can, Fruit, Vegetable, Artisan, Minerals, Fishing Etc, and when you make your selections, always choose Gold or Iridium star items if you have them, and make sure they are the most expensive type of their category.

For example, out of all the Vegetables, I'm almost positive that Pumpkin sells for the most amount of money, (or close to) so I'll put a Gold Star Pumpkin in the Grange Display.
With Fruit, Melon and Cranberry are both worth a fair bit, but starfruit is easily the best fruit to use in the Grange Display.
For Minerals, use a Diamond or a prismatic shard if you have one.

To check how much something sells for, open your inventory, click "collections" click on the correct tab on the left, then hover over the item.

If this ever happens again, or anything bad happens like you lose your best Weapon, just restart the game before the day ends and you'll get to start your day over again, giving you a second chance :)

I won it with 2 gold pumpkins, a gold catfish and ice pip. a bottle of wine and a few minerals (rubies). Not that hard really.

Yup, that'd do it :) I wasn't sure if anyone was having troubles with it, so I figured I'd post anyways, just in case :)

Really? It's that easy? I'm surprised, seem as though the game itself told me to "try and include a range of different items", I would have thought you'd have to do so!
Thanks for the info, this makes things a lot easier for me come Grange Display time :) I'm not even kidding when I say I've filled almost 3 chests full of gold and iridium star items over time (literally one of every crop, mushroom, animal product etc lol!) so I'd always be ready for the Grange Display, and increasingly so as I collected higher value Gold star or Iridum star items over the in-game years...now I can clear those out!! YAY! Thanks for the info! :)

A fish you can catch in the frozen level lake in the mines, it sells for somewhere around 1000g, but is very hard to catch because it rarely bites

Save 9 iridium quality items whenever you get them and set them aside for your grange. I've won it every year, including year 1.

Has anyone tried using 9 iridium quality bottle of starfruit wine? I've got a few aging my cellar and they should be iridium well before the grange display.

+1, wiki gives exactly how much you will get from every item. Like that gold star pumpkin and silver star pumpkin are same points value. Or that you can like ez get 107 points of 90 max reward with 6 points items from different categories.

I just use nine indium quality truffles. This lands me a score of 92!
