Or I may be wrong, I am not sure. Anyway mods to spawn it could be a last option.
Don't freak out over it, though. It's really NOT a big deal. Just buy another weapon from the Adventurer's Guild. Not to assume anything, but ... have you ever entered the building just to the right of the mines? The same guy that gave you your very first sword should be able to sell you a new weapon.
Just buy the best one you can afford and move on. They're not going to have the exact sword, but you can get something close, and it's not really even the "best" sword. As was already mentioned, the Lava Katana will be available once you hit floor 120, and it's better than the Obsidian Edge anyway.
Heck, if you've already made it to floor 98 anyway, the Steel Falchion (only 9k) is available to you RIGHT NOW at well under half the price of the katana, and that sword is 5 full weapon levels ABOVE the Obsidian. It doesn't hit quite as hard, but it's close, with the added benefit of being a LOT faster.
After using the Falchion for a while, you might find you prefer it. The ability to turn your slashing hand into a monster-blender can be fun. It's fast enough that your actual DPS might be even higher.
