what you mean? this game dosent have multiplayer for anything other than steam yet so right now theres only 1 platform that has multiplayer

afaik, Beta only available in PC (Windows, Mac, Linux) Platform

Pretty sure it's got it on GoG, too. And Steam players and GoG players should be able to play together...

But no, don't expect to play your Steam copy with your friend's Switch copy, for example. I don't think that's EVER happening.

They currently have some trouble with steam multiplayer as a whole, Cross platform if it ever exists, will take quite a while to make without bugs. It also means the console version would have to be the same as the PC version and etc... For what Stardew Valley is, I find it difficult to do...

It wouldn't exist. It's already difficult to make PC cross platform with consoles. Thats why most games on pc and on consoles aren't crossing paths ever. It's a lot of work and considering there's only one dev behind Stardew, I don't think it's likely for him to even bother.

Well. I don't know. I've seen gunz of icarus cross platforming before itself and PS4. It didn't seem very hard to do but then again, I don't know. SV looks "easier" but again, I'm only assuming and what I see is that PC version itself has already enough trouble being stable on the Multi side.

4. Invite codes
If the person you want to invite is not on your friends list, you can invite them using an invite code. These codes enable cross-play between Steam and GOG. Due to platform restrictions and technical limitations, we are not currently planning to roll this functionality out any wider than Steam and GOG.

Which to me, states that cross-platforming is only a Steam and GoG thing. It won't be Console to PC thing.
