I haven't played a farm where they're all bunched together. I'm sure it's fun, but I prefer more independence, and communication for "trading".
I've got one multiplayer farm where we split it 50/50 down the middle and another co-op challenge farm where only one player mines, and only one player does foraging/farming. It's fun to mix it up.
I can't even imagine what you think "liberal farm" means?
