How do you get hardwood?

tree stumps, they respawn every day in the secret woods

Where is the secret woods? Sorry, I'm new to this game.

The copper axe lets you chop down tree stumps you can find around your farm
The steel axe lets you chop down the big fallen logs you might have seen around your farm (most farms have at least 1)
Somewhere in the game, there's a big log you can chop down to access the secret woods behind it

Make sure you upgrade your axe to lvl 3 otherwise you won't be able to cut the big stumps for the hardwood.

The copper axe (level 2) is for large stumps, the steel axe (level 3) is for large logs.

If you go South of your farm, on the upper left, there will be a stump.

If you chop through that, you'll find the secret woods.

You have to upgrade your axe before you can enter it
