In order for that code to always stay the same, there would have to be a master list saved on a matchmaking server of all the codes that have been used, or else you could end up sharing a code with someone else. Then how would Stardew know which farm to put you on? It generates a new code every time because it checks the matchmaking server (or whatever the term is for it, sorry, I don't know the lingo) to see what code it can use that isn't currently taken, then it gives you the code for the duration of the session.
If the codes stayed the same, then each code would have to be unique per farm. If that were the case, then every single farm that people made would tie up a code. I'm sure there are a lot of people here who have made a farm in co-op for just a minute to see how it works. I've done it myself to see where the cabins are so that I can use the farm planner with the right information. And if every one of these farms that was only created for a minute tied up a code, then they would eventually run out.
And they can't even just use your Steam ID or anything, because it's not just Steam, it's GoG, too. And there's no way to ensure that the Steam IDs and the GoG IDs wouldn't overlap.
If you have a better solution, please share it. But I don't see a way for these codes to be kept consistent.
