Secret Note #23 **SPOILERS**
Ok, if you've come this far, this is a discussion regarding the bear in the Secret Woods giving you his knowledge regarding berries and increasing the sell value of Salmonberries and Blackberries x3. After a quick test, it appears that the benefit only applies to the berries themselves rather than the jams (or wines if you enjoy wasting your time). According to the Wiki, the berries are worth 5g (normal quality) which means they're now worth 15g each (...yay) but the jam is still only worth 84g (with artisan profession; I can't attest for non-artisan).
My curiousity is whether or not these secret notes are a new thing and whether or not the benefit will eventually stretch to processed berries. Also, it's totally possible my game is bugged so if you've had success with 3x value on jams, let me know!

The secret notes are new in 1.3, and I don't think it does work on jelly/wine, but I'm not sure if that's intentional or not. Even if it is, it's... questionable how useful that would be by that point in the game. It'd be more useful to increase their healing than their sell price, I think.

I agree. I was at Y3 by the time I got it so usefulness? Not much. If it was on jams, that'd be great! Changes it from 84 to 252 which is decent.

When i enter the secret forest with maple syrup on rainy day while riding horse, the game crashed. Is this because beta or bug?

Both? The cutscene might not be programmed to work in the rain, or the game might be confused because you're riding your horse and then you're on foot in the cutscene. Either try waiting 1 day, or try entering when not on your horse...

i tried both just now and it doesn't crash again, but no cutscene.
