Yeah but other games like factorio let you save the map for your own single player use. Terraria lets you keep everything on your character. A mod lets you save minecraft maps, ect.
A playthrough of stardew can be quite long (100+ hours), just to suddenly lose everything and have nothing to show for it. Isn't a multiplayer where you'll want to play with randoms and friends better than ones you only play with close trusted friends?

No, why would I want to play with randoms? the only people that care about playing with randos are no-friend losers. My friends log into my farm to help me during my busy season (usually summer), then when we're done we log into the next friend to help. Your need to be immediately rewarded for helping someone is telling and is exactly why I don't want to play with greedy randoms such as yourself.
Ok, so your calling anyone who wants to play with random people, "no friend" losers, that's insulting, I have friends, both in real life and on Steam, and I have no problem potentially playing with random people
Plus, what's the goal of getting all the stuff you found in your co-op game back to your single player farm? There's only two years of content and three or even two players will blitz the hell out of the progression if everyone divides possible labor up well. Do you really think it'll be fun to take your co-op gains earned with 1/3 or less of the work you would have had to put in on your own to your own farm and blow through all the bundles for more than five minutes? If yes, that's awfully Joja of you, you should buy a membership...
Its honestly not as bad as it sounds. Just my wording. :)
This thread is making me dizzy.
Considering he doesn't have any friends, it's obvious why he posted this and cries like the little pony loving ♥♥♥♥♥ that he is. No surprise there but still ultimately a useless ♥♥♥♥ post from somebody who doesn't know how it is to play with friends and that Stardew Valley's MP isn't really meant for "play with complete strangers" but to play with friends and have fun.
