Monitor says Frequency Out of Range
I had my daughter playing StarDew Valley and it was working perfectly for 20+ hours. Then she accidentally clicked on something, or hit a key combination and now the resolution on the game is outside the range of the monitor. When we attempt to start the game the monitor turns black and gives the error message "Frequency Out Of Range".


We have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game. I have tried to change the resolution using the compatability options, but none of those options have worked.

This is running on a PC using Windows XP.

Resolution is saved independently of the base game files, in the %appdata%/Stardew Valley/Saves folder (At least in windows 7 and 10, I have no idea if XP changes it). You should see a startup preferences folder, delete that and the issue may be resolved... and if it isn't, you may need to edit the save information itself.
