Night market fishing sucks?

I just spent 3 days fishing at the night market's submarine thing. It cost me 3k for all 3 days to go in, wasted an hour diving down and up, and I caught seaweed exactly 50% of the time. I sold all the fish I'd caught from 6pm-12am over 3 days. In those 18 hours, I caught maybe 18 fish... and they sold for about 4k. It cost me 3k just to go there. Why in the hell would anyone fish here if the fish are worth so little compared to the cost to fish?

So it's just for the achievement? I thought fishing had a better way to make money for once, since it's probably the worst skill in the game :/

Fishing Submarine
The Submarine houses a Captain who offers to take the player on a deep-sea fishing tour for Gold.png1,000g. Upon accepting, the submarine will begin descending, opening a trapdoor at the bottom to allow the player to fish. The descent and ascent take approximately 30 minutes in-game time. In singleplayer mode, the player can avoid this time expenditure by viewing the inventory; the floor will close/open and the descent/ascent will happen despite the halting of time passage.

Three fish can only be caught here: the Midnight Squid, Spook Fish, and Blobfish. Seaweed, Sea Cucumber, Octopus, and Super Cucumber can also be caught in the submarine ride. There is also a rare chance to catch a Pearl while fishing here.

Yeah, it does. I fished there a few times, it seemed not worth it once I got the blob fish and midnight squid.

They're not just rare, but then they throw in seaweed, the two cucumber fish, and octopus too!

There wasn't enough time in multiplayer to catch that many fish since it's still pretty unbalanced :/ I could've made more money by fishing at the lake

This is how you talk to people? My god, you are an unpleasant person.
If you don't like the fishing at the night market, then don't do it. No one's forcing you to. It's new content, and it adds to completeing your collections book. Not everything in the game is meant for you to make a profit from. Some things are just for fun. It is a game, after all.
