Chucklefish is making Multiplayer, so it;s more than one
Yet, they are allowed to talk about it and vent their frustrations
Except if they don;t release Mutiplayer, It might hurt Concerned Ape's credibility as this game was advertised with Multiplayer.
I think it will be released but like everything in the gaming industry big or small things do not go as planned. I want them to take their time with it so they do it right. Do you want a working multiplayer or a rushed broken multiplayer?
Not to mention.
For correction Chucklefish is the Publisher. Not the dev team. IE they handle PR, communicate with Sony, Steam, Microsoft and Nintendo to get things done as well as advertise the game. They don't actually make the game.
Basically Concerned Ape is the sole creator of the game. That's not to say Chucklefish didn't help they helped the they just weren't involved in making the game. They help sell and market the game and deal with the industry politics nessicary to get PS4, Switch, and X-Box ports done. But they didn't make the game.
Not to mention considering how the game works it raises techical questions on how excactly the multiplayer would work. Not to mention we don't know if he is making Splitscreen functionality or not.
Don't make excuses for the guy. He screwed us over with how long we had to wait for a core feature that he promised.
You have no stance to defend such things.
It is one person? At how much money he has made he could have easily hired some extra hands to help.
I'm sorry, but do you understand how much he made? How he lied about mutiplayer? Proof has been showed time and time again. Even the sticky mentions the lie.
How can you defend a company that did this?

You can't link a mod and say see mutiplayer! He promise a full feature mutiplayer, and showed a video of it working before the release of this game.
So to bring up the mod is pointless in what this dev did.
If vociing your opinion isn't enough for you, here's some things to think about:
1) This will be the 3rd? large expansion to the game that has been offered for FREE. I get the argument that they originally advertised Stardew as MP, but they'll be delivering that, and you're getting a whole lot more than you originally paid for.
2) If that's not enough to satisfy you, how about forking over some money fto hire more testers/coders/whatever is needed in this stage to the ONE dev or Chucklefish (personally I think the dev deserves it more haha).
3) Finally, keep in mind that the release everyone is getting in the next month or 2 will be multiplayer BETA, not multiplayer. In other words, you won't be getting a game that doesn't have bugs or crashes unitl a few months after the update. I'll be jumping on MP as soon as it comes out too, but I cringe at the idea that a lot of people that have been asking for a hurried release will be right back complaining about the bugs that WILL be in the MP release intially.
It's a HAPPY farm game, and up til now, it's been a very happy and helpful community. It'd be nice if everyone could try to keep it that way! :)
Incorrect. Chucklefish (Or at least Tom Coxon) are the ones developing the netcode for multiplayer.
2nd. 1.2 was only translations and bug fixes. There have been no content updates in 1.5 years.
Not free. We already paid for the multiplayer by buying the game.
We already did. It's not our fault if the dev decides (or, more probable, is forced by contract) to only use Chucklefish's resources instead of actually hiring a larger/more competent team.
You're complaining about hypothetical people in the future who might complain. That's what makes me cringe.
AKA "No discussion, criticism, or dissenting opinions allowed! :)"
It's still a helpful community, if you make any posts asking for help, you will get help, saying up until now it's been a helpful community is false, they are allowed to share their opinions, and their frustration is founded, while I didn't buy this game for multiplayer, I understand their frustration with how long it's taking
