Backing up save files
So I'm contemplating resetting my computer and eventually I may move to a new one. I was wondering what's a good way to back up save files, since I don't think they're on the cloud through Steam. Where are the save files / everything I need to backup located?

I think they are cloud shared. I family shared the game from someone else and his saves showed up.

Hmm if I get access to another computer I'll see if I can load it, as good as Steam's cloud storage is I'd prefer a backup separate

It's a place to share maps and stuff, but I also use this place to back up maps.

https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Saves - Shows where you save files are located. Then just copy the ones you want to backup and save to a storage device, disk/cd, etc. if you're going to be resetting your computer or moving to a new one.

Back them up. I use my Google drive for various saves backups.
I've had a couple of situations when my save got corrupted or I had to switch OS for some time and the game didn't download the save files from cloud. So if you don't want any risk of losing your progress, have a backup.
Save files are in AppData/StardewValley if you're on Windows.
