Technically, you cannot in the official sense. But there is an interesting glitch where you'd go into the save file in Notepad. Then you'd ctrl+f the word "spouse." From there you can substitute the name of your current partner with George or any NPC. What insues is something hilarious where your actual partner (husband, wife) will stay in bed and return to their non-married dialogue from bed whereas George or other NPC will take on the functions of your partner. In my game, I am married to Penny, so George performs Penny's lines as my husband. He even uses his wheelchair to walk where she would etc., while she stays in bed all day. In a sense, you're married to two people. Also, the partner's room becomes vacant without decorations, so I just added some furniture like a fireplace and some bookcases and it looks nice. In summary, it can be done. You could even marry the dwarf or anyone else on the NPC heart list. Try it. It's hilarious because I have a kid and George thinks it's the son he birthed.
