And if you are running out of grass in your pasture then you probably need a bigger one. Usually I only keep enough animals to have access to some products rather than to actually make a substantial amount of income from them, so I don't need a huge pasture. You may need to devote quite a bit of space if you have a lot of animals.
You can take the food from the bin, the grass that is stored in the silo, and put it in the animal feeding places (don't know what it's called).
The silo doesn't do anything except storing the animal food, as far as I know.
