Upgrading player house in multiplayer

So me and my friend where playing and we planned to upgrade the main house to the first level so he ask me to go and upgrade the house so i take the wood go and upgrade the house and several days later my house got updated i diden't even know my house could be updated so we wasted the upgrade on the wrong house i wish there where a indicator or option to upgrade the main house insted of the houses the invited people have.

The person who requests the upgrade from Robin, is the one who will get the upgraded property.

This can be spotted when asking Robin to upgrade, it will specifically say "Upgrade Cabin" rather than "Upgrade farmhouse"

You will both need to upgrade anyway if you intend to have partners in game.

she doesn't show up. Your cabin will magically be upgraded three days later. Don't know why, but it does so

There's no indication that Robin is upgrading the cabins, but she does upgrade them in the same 3-day timeframe as any other construction project. Just wait a few in-game days before you assume she swindled you. :P
