keeps getting trash when fishing

My fishing skill is currently at 10, and I fished at where it calls "golden fishing spot". But I kept getting seaweed and trash instead of fish. I got 6 seaweeds in a row and 8/10 are considered "garbage (not fish)". I thought it might be the luck, but I kept getting those during both lucky day and unlucky day. I got average of 6/10 trash whenever I am fishing. Is this just a coincidence (bad luck) or there is something wrong with the code? I got 1~3/10 trash before I reach lvl10 fishing at mountain lack, but 6~8/10 trash in the ocean "golden fishing spot" during summer.

Those sound like very bad odds to me.
7/10 trash fishing in the ocean? Hmm.... am not sure what to tell you.
There are mods to tweak this, but before you do it would be good to see any other other solutions (or if you're imagining it??)
Perhaps somebody else will have better advice. Either way, hope this is resolved.

This is my latest record when fishing: CD-seaweed-seaweed-fish-garbage-fish-fish-seaweed-seaweed-newspaper-fish-cd-seaweed-seaweed-fish-seaweed-seaweed-seaweed. I tested during both lucky days and unlucky days, I cannot see any differences when fishing. But, anyway, thanks a lot. :)

Fishing in the mountain lake is much better than in the ocean.
Also make sure you fish at the area past the bride which you have to repair on the beach instead of at the main beach area.

there are times for fishes to be on surface, equip your fish rod with some special items and always go earlier for fishing.

I dont know the golden fishing spot I just fish where ever they bite but the shallower you fish the more chance you have to find junk (or atleast thats in my case) if I go stand on the pier and trow the line into the deep water I tend to never get trash while if I trow it in the light blue near the shore I tend to get loads of trash

I've oddly noticed the same thing, 3rd time playing the game its never been like this before. I have had a whole day of nothing but trash in all fishing spots.

Anyone else find that there is no fish in the mines (lvl 10 fishing ir rod)? Also every treasure chest just gives 1 bait.

There is, but... really low chance. I got 2 fish out of 15. And, Yes! There is a high chance that you could get one bait from treasure... What to say...
