My animals never get pregnant. What am I doing wrong?
Hey!
I hope somebody can help me. I have the following problem:
My animals (cow, sheep, goat) never get pregnant!
I chose that they can get pregnant in ther "menu" (where you see their names), I have space in my barn and they love me. What am I missing? ^^
I also tried to allow just one of them to get pregnant, but it's not working. And I am waiting for over a (ingame-) year now..:P
Does anyone have an idea?
Thank you =)

Animal pregnancy is very, very random and has a low chance to begin with. Sometimes you get lucky, but it's not something to really hope for when getting more animals, often times you're better off just buying them if you want them because otherwise you could be waiting a whiiiiiiile if the RNG gods are displeased with you.

It's just really rare. If you want more animals it's better to purchase them.

as the 2 above me have stated, pregnancy is very rare. through all the farms ive played through (maybe about 20ish farms) only about 3 of those files were blessed to have an animal give birth. Same thing applies with (spoiler) meteors hitting your farm, trees turning into Mushroom Trees, the Witch turning an egg into a Void Egg, the Fairy growing your crops and you getting a Alien Capsule which you can only obtain at the end of each year

Human and Animal are incompatible. You can't get an animal pregnant.

Are you wearing a condom?

Sorry I cdouldn't resist.

Anyway it's down to the RNG, a lot of things in this game are. Yesterday I got a quest from someone to fish a Red Mullet, a fairly common catch, yet I didn't catch one even though I was fishing for 2 in-game days from 8 AM to 10 PM.

Sometimes you're just unlucky.

Okay, too bad. I have lots of animals already, I just wanted an animal-baby born on my farm :D But well, maybe it happens one day, maybe not.

And I can't wear a condom because my farmer and myself are female. But the human babys are not the problem, my farmer gave birth to a boy and a girl already ;)

Thanks for the answers!

Take some supplements. You are going to need to put your seed in peak condition if you wanna knock up some cows.

Is your barn upgraded? Animals can never become pregnant in an unupgraded barn.
Shakuras May 19, 2018 @ 1:34pm
"there will be a 50% chance that the game will attempt an animal birth event. The game searches through all buildings for an upgraded Barn that isn't full. The game then makes another check where there is a 0.55% * (the number of animals inside) chance of proceeding with the event. For example, an upgraded barn with three animals inside would have a 1.65% chance of passing this check. If the building fails this check, the game will continue going through all buildings until none are left.
If a barn passes all these checks, a random animal inside is chosen. If the animal is not a baby and has pregnancy enabled, that animal will give birth."

TLDR : the rate is so ridiculously low you should completly ignore that crappy system an just buy new animals from Marnie.

I have two full upgraded barns - one of them is full with 12 animals and one of them has now 4 animals inside...it had two animals inside for quite a while before that.

Hmn..50% doens't sound so bad :D But then....hmn...

Well it's 50% to have the check, and then he means there's ANOTHER check after that check which is only .5% per animal. Even if you get that initial check, the odds are still ridiculously low
