Does Anyone Have Rusty Key Problem? MP
So, the host and I have over 60 items in the museum now. Don't know who donated how much each, but if it works individually then that'd suck a lot.

Has anyone else had this issue and not gotten the rusty key yet? Posted this in the bug forum

Yes, this is General. In this post OP is asking after other players' experiences.
The key is not given as a "Collect Reward" reward. I cutscene will play the next morning for the Host, which flags the save file as "Rusty Key Obtained". For everyone.

If the cutscene does not trigger for you the next day even after having 60 items then there might be a work around.

Just donate another item and then pick up and place down every item in the museum while you're donating. It should say you donated the item when you pick up and place down items farmhands donated. That might help you anyway.

We had to donate 62 things to the museum to get the key. I think that was because I donated 60 and my friend 2, but I am not very sure about this.

See the thing is one time way early in the game, as the person who isn't the host, I decided to reorganize the museum. However, the next day everything disappeared? So I'm a bit worried of doing this

Well, like I said. If anyone is having this problem, they can try picking up things that are donated and moving them around. The game acknowledges it as you donating the item if you weren't the one too initially donate the item whenever you pick up these items and move them around.

The host should probably do it then.

Might be a dumb question, but have you had the host sleep in their own bed? Sometimes people just sleep in the cabin beds because it's 1:30AM and they don't want to pass out. Might be only triggered if they sleep in the main house?

Not a dumb question, don't worry! Yes the host has slept in their own bed. I'll have to have the host reorganize the museum and see if that triggers it to happen.

You could also just try to have them add or move one thing? I just finished out the museum in a multiplayer game (well, I added the 60th item... and a few more after) and we got the museum key the next day as normal. I'm sure this is a silly question, too, but you're not counting the items that disappeared, are you? Only the ones that are currently in the museum?

I'm counting the items currently in the museum, but the items that "disappeared" also counted as well beings that when I started putting back items in the reward system did not reset
