Which character you wished had more development?

I suppose most of us can agree the characters are kind of simplistic, their defining traits and emotional range are mostly stereotypical and very little development and those with a lot of character development feels rushed i.e Shane and Haley.

Do you have a preferred character that you also wished had a bigger arc? For me it's Linus, I think his mindset very interesting, but since he doesn't have much development you never get to truly know the guy.

We know he is experienced, he used to travel a lot, he lives in a tent by choice, and likes Stardew Valley because of the library(kind of BS since the museum is kind of trash to begin with). Not much else though.

I'm not harshly criticizing the game though, the amount of stuff that the developer put into this game is staggering, my save game has over 100 hours.

Honestly, all of them. Most characters look interesting at first sight, then you realise there's barely anything more to them. Can't really choose based on personality because of that.
If I really had to choose, I'd go with Penny because her character portrait looks the most appealing to me.

But mostly Alex and Elliot, Alex's storyline has a good premise (self-improvement) but it never goes anywhere, and Elliot because he just doesn't have much at all.

I'd also like for Marlon to become a marriage candidate, he's the only appealing one besides those two.

Definitely Marlon, some heart events with him would be nice. I thought after the mine introduction there would be more to our relationship like a mentor or something and not to just buy/sell equipment from

Personally I would love to see a better story for Emily. I was fond of her at first but her personality started to feel flat and after a few heart events with her I couldn't bear to stick around. I found shane's heart events to be more dynamic and even if they were rushed; they seemed fairly realistic over a long period of time. Though thats just me.

I have high hopes for the new update. I've heard ConcernedApe may be adding more heart events though I may be wrong.

I would love to be able to see some 10 heart events as friends such as Leah's or Shanes for some closure.

Any and all of the non-marriage candidates. Also more group cutscenes.

Like, more cutscenes of people like Linus would be great. But I'd also love some cutscenes like the Marnie/Lewis ones that require hearts with both of them. George+Evelyn, Jodi+Kent, Vincent+Jas, Marnie+Lewis, at least 1 cutscene per "couple" (Seb+Abby, Leah+Elliot, etc.) to show you've got "competition", Gus+Pam, Demetrius+Robin...

well if im gonna be frank, elliot, i do like him and i marry him 50% of the time but his cutseens feel lacking, 2-3 are about him trying to be a writer and the rest feel like they are kinda irelevent as half are about his love to you or showing affection towards the player and well i kinda like abigail more (i marry abigail the other 50% of the time) becuasw you can really see the charcter grow

All, and they should have specific questlines or be able to advance in relationship spontaneously without requiring thousands of GP in bribes
