Replacing a save file... Old game files?
Okay, I know this question has been to hell and back with how often it's probably been asked... But I'm an idiot, so please humor me.

I've had some issues with the game and, upon trying to fix said issues, I had to reinstall my game. Okay.... I boot it up, and my save is gone. I didn't back it up, however, going into the save data location (appdata, roaming, yknow) I still have my save from two days ago.

playername_stringofnumbers
IN THE FOLDER
SaveGameInfo
SaveGameInfo_old
playername_stringofnumbers
playername_stringofnumbers_old

Thing is.. As far as I know, these files ARE where they should be. So, upon booting up my game, my file should be there, right? But it's not. So, with this, I have no idea how to go about restoring my game. Sure, I was only in fall year 1, but I would still really prefer not to deal with everything all over again since I got a LOT done in that time... Item spawning mods also don't seem to work with me (I have one, but it only worked once for some reason)... I just edit things to get back to how they were, but I can't.

Any chance I could get a little bit of help? Any hope for my darling chickens, Nugget and Drumstick?

*I've saved the folder with the saves I have now... I didn't back them up prior to this, but since it has my player name and everything, I feel the files are prooobably fine. Especially since they were last modified two days ago, when I played last.

Thank you so much for your time and for humoring an idiot

Have you tried to verify the files?

Yep... Sadly, it didn't fix the save file issue. Apparently there WERE 98 files that needed to be replaced? I'm busy at the moment, so I couldn't go through and check what exactly they were, but my save file still doesn't seem to work in-game.

Move the two normal files out of that folder and then take the "_old" off of the end of the other two and star the game up again.

This worked! I guess it was just due to conflicting files..? Thanks for dealing with my guys, it's MUCH appreciated... My two chickens, Nugget and Drumstick, making little chicken sounds in appreciation too. <3

Actually... Turns out, after having to close the game again to fix some of the content files, going back in made new save files again, which lead my right in a circle back to my initial issue. Any chance you have a fix for this one, haha?

Not too big a deal if you don't though, since it's at least something and allows me to play again!
