"Can't plant here" Despite enough space.

I#m trying to start a tree farm, but it won't let me plant trees in half the spots I've made, it says "not enough space" despite there being 8 tiles of clearance all the way around. Every other tree has been planted the exact same way just fine, but i have 3 spots left that wont plant no matter what I do.

Try to remoove the grass path that you placed around.
Actually trees won't grow if they don't have all 8 close scuares free.

Tried removing grass, tried removing everything around it, didn't work. The other trees you can see were planted just fine with grass around em, no issue, its specifically the last three that wont work

There are a few spots like that. One is close to the cave entrance. They seem to be close to walls and there is no apparent reason for them being unusable for trees.

In your case, I cannot see why there is a problem. Can only suggest you remove your grass paths and then try again.

as you can see, all grass gone, everything surrounding it gone, but it still won't plant!!!

Did you try to use the pickaxe there? maybe there is a seed that still didn't show or something like this.

No, i'm not. It's not that simple. Also I have two tiles, look at the screenshots.

I was able to plant regular trees there, it's not what I wanted for this tree farm, but its better than having to move it or having to leave it empty.

Maybe using a save editior to place a tree there?
