No Carp

I've been trying to catch carp from the mountain lake so i can complete the lake bundle but I have been fishing for 3 days straight and have not gotten a single carp despite the wiki saying you can catch them very easily at any time in any season. Is there something wrong or am I just that unlucky?

That's very unusual, I've caught plenty of carp whenever I've fished the mountain lake. Just from interest, what types of fish are you catching?

I've been catching perch, largmouth bass, and chubs.

Well if you are catching largemouth bass you are certainly in the right place. I guess you'll just have to be persistent.

For a change of scenery you could try the Secret Woods (as abbi suggested) or the Sewers. Carp are the predominant fish in both places.

I went to the secret woods and caught a carp on my third fish. Im still confused why I couldnt catch it in the lake but im glad i got it

Actually I've just worked out why you couldn't catch carp in the mountain lake. You said you had caught perch there which means you were fishing in winter, and the Wiki says that carp can only be found in the mountain lake in spring, summer or fall.

The secret woods however has carp all year round.

Ah,that makes sense. then my guide must be outdated because the picture I have says any season.
