Ugh artifact hunting..
I only have to collect the Bone Flute, Prehistoric Scapula/Tibia and Trilobite for the museum to get that completed. However, I am not having much luck at all! I even chose the Tracker profession to help me find the artifact spots, but for example at the rail station (for the tibia) I cannot even find one artifact spot across the entire last three weeks of winter!! I'm hoping in Spring that the usual hoe-d items like winter root and that will make Spring artifact hunting much easier, but does anyone have any advice please? Is there something I can do to increase the chance of them appearing or is it one of those tough luck things I have to keep persevering with?

its frustrating for sure. the bone flute can be found in the mines. Here is a helpful post of info on finding artifacts and other items. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=758250035

Gave it a read! I noticed how it advises looking for worms in winter and now I'm in Spring! Does winter give a boost to artifacts or something and can I look all year round for them?

During winter the spots are much more common, I've seen as many as 5 in a single day on the back road to Robyn's. The drop tables are also adjusted a little due to winter root and snow yams being added for the season.

Ah that makes sense, so to compensate for the extra winter items the artifact spots become slightly more common? I'll keep hunting across the year and hopefully won't need winter to come around but I have been quite unlucky in the game!!

Yes the number of artifact spots rises. You'll dig up lots of winter yams and winter roots though, not necessarily more artifacts.

I feel your pain. I'm also missing three artifacts and have been for almost two (in game) years.

I had 4 artifacts missing i could not find at all, the elven ring, ancient sword, broken pot, and some bone. After 6 in game years i got tired and found a guide on youtube in how to get artifacts fast and easy. Below is the video i found. What i did was follow the video, then when i got the museum achievement i restarted the day so i can find them again later on.
