Grandpa's Evaluation

I can't seem to prompt Grandpa to re-evaluate my farm it's been year 4 for me and I haven't had him re-evaluate my farm the second time. I've been trying to insert said Diamond into the slot but it won't work. Does anyone have any answer to this? Thanks! Also is it a yearly thing?

Are all 4 candles already lit at the shrine? At that point, you can't get a re-evaluation, just tried it myself.

If some candles aren't lit and you are able to put a diamond in the shrine, just go to bed, at night grandpa shoul appear.

Also, if the stardew wiki is right, grandpa only appears once for free, any other time, you have to sacrifice a diamond

Have you tried just clicking the shrine normally? Maybe you passed the evaluation and didn't realize, or didn't pick up the note yet.

All 4 candles are lit up, and it's Day 23 of Winter on my 4th Year.

@ I Kinda Fail: Clicking it on it's own just says "Grandpa's Shrine" same as when I try and put a diamond in it.


@Bliraxnil: if all 4 are already lit up when should I have done it then?

if all 4 candles are lit, you are done. Congrats! :D
I don't know everything about the point-system behind it, but you don't have to max every skill and friendship, you don't have to have every type of building full of animals and other stuff, to get the best score of "4 candles".

You are able to get the best score at the first evaluation, the diamond sacrifice is just for people, who took the game a little bit slower.

I thought you can get your farm re-evaluated more times.. I guess I misunderstood that part of the game. I was wondering if I could get more Statues of Perfection make it easy for an Iridium Farm almost hahaha. Thanks Mate.

You could, but only if you didn't have all 4 lit.
