Stardew Valley Fair Cooking ?

So, looking at the cooking category, fish taco gives one of the best number of points, but can I just cheat and buy one from gus ? Will it work/count ?

I have been consistently winning the fair in year 1 with a combination of gold star items. I have not looked at the point counts for them but I put in at least one of each category, forage, flower, fish, farm, artisan. Second year, as red255 is super easy because you have all of the irridium level items.

To answer your question, my assumption would be that a purchased fish taco would count. I do not think the game differentiates between purchased, gifted, found (from trash cans), and cooked items.

Yeah, this definitly count. I got 110 with :
-1 diamond
-1 fish taco
-1 iridium duck feather
-1 gold super cucumber
-1 gold cheese
-1 iridum large milk
-1 Iridium large egg
-1 silver pommegranade
-1 gold pumkin
