Crop Growth
Does it slow crop growth if you walk on them. Do you need empty spaces to stand on to water so that you do not hurt crop by walking on it. Seems like I have had crops die and/or not grow when I walk on them. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Walking on crops does not damage them or slow growth. You can't walk on the trellis plants like beans and hops so plant carefully so you can get in and water and harvest. Crops sometimes die if there is lightning or I think just random bad seeds. Crows also eat them if you dont have scarecrows.
as far as I know there are only 2 things that prevent crop growth:
1) if you don't water them
2) if you are unlucky enough to come across a bug(I hope it is a bug) that randomly causes some of your crops to not grow.
If I recall correctly, the crop growth is measured by hours, rather than by days, so if you water them in the morning they'll advance more than if you water them at night.(can someone confirm this? please?)

Crop growth is indeed measured in days, not hours; it doesn't matter if you water your crops at 6am or after midnight--the growth mechanism kicks in overnight, not before. So plan your days however you wish, as it makes no difference what time you water, as long as you do so everyday.

As the others said, it doesn´t affect the crops if you step on them.
Stupid question, but did you make sure that you´re only planting crops in their right season? That would be the only thing that´come to my mind for them dying/ dissapearing ^^
