Skull Level 100 and the Need for Sleep

So, I'm curious, how do you get to level 100 without ending up passing out from tiredness? I got to 55 finally, but by then it was 1am and I'd only spent maybe 15 seconds at the longest on each level. This seems pretty impossible.

Go on good luck day and eat foods that increase luck. A lot of bombs- don't mine just set off bombs to find the way down. Slime charmer ring helps so you don't have to worry about slimes, Or Stairs. And a warp totem to get back to the farm so you can stay until 1:30. or the sceptre if you have made enough money to get it. I just use the skull cavern elevator mod....

Jump in the holes when possible, I have fallen 10-20 floors quite often that way. Just be sure to be well healed before hand.

100 stone will make a staircase, as such a stack of 999 with one stone break will drop you 10 floors.

Explosives make for faster mining than the pickax allowing you to find the ladder or hole faster.

As above, drink coffee. You will have a movement increase while it is active.

All this said, I normally enter the skull cave with 3 stacks of stone, 50 small bombs, 150 bombs, 20 mega bombs, 100 salads, and 100 coffee. On a excellent luck day this will take me to floor 200+.

I had bombs, and good luck. I was hoping for a lot of chasms to jump down but all I found were ladders usually. I might go through with my plan to make 9 stacks of 999 stone and make a staircase every level. That way I spend at most 2 seconds per level.

Holes. You can go down like 15 levels at a time if you get lucky. Go on a lucky day, eat a Spicy Eel for the speed and luck boost, then start throwing out bombs to find holes.

I went in with 57 bombs, 9 plates of root platter, 5 iridium quality cactus fruit (legit some of the best food, I love the power forage gets at level 10), 4 stairs, one and a half stacks of stone, and some other general food. I think it was just I spent too long trying to decide if I needed to use the stairs or not on some levels.

I just brought enough stone to make 100 stairs on my way down.

Stairs and a lot of them. Just make a lot of money and buy stone

Worth noting, don't go into holes if you are within 10-15 floors of 100. You have to get to exactly 100, and holes can send you over so you have to do it again.

Just gonna leave this here: If you get slowed by slime and then drink coffee your speed will SKYROCKET when the slow wears off.

eat lucky meal. that +3 luck is better than any luck you can get naturaly. also carry the luck charm from the joja trucker. and if you use smapi, type world_freezetime in the smapi window. just turn it off before bed or glitch the game HARD

Yeah, I'd just use staircases. Only reason I'd explore the skull cavern legitimately is for loot and iridium.

Lots of stairs are pretty much essential to get to 100+. Bombs are very useful.

You do know you can go back to every 5th level. So once you hit level 5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40, and so on you can take the elevator back down to that 5th level. Its very easy to hit level if you're not trying in one day. You can get to like 50, 55, 60, go home, come back and start at level 60. Easy to reach level 100 if you're not trying to do it in a single go.

I'm not sure you know this, but actually you can't do that in the SKULL CAVERN. There's a MOD that LET'S YOU DO THAT, however I DO NOT HAVE THAT MOD so there is NO ELEVATOR.

this is pretty late so you probably wont see but i just did it today. Don't spend time fighting the enemies. you're much better off just bombing the levels on a good luck day. If you do bring good food you wont end up needing to craft staircases very often.
