Co-op housing;

Hey all,

Is it possible for a co-op partner to live in the same house as I, or, to have an identical house as myself, that can be upgraded the same as my own?

It's just we are two players, and would ideally not have the co-op house exist at all, if possible.

Also, with the new update coming in, would it be possible to still retain a shared money pool, instead of having it separated? Even if the save was made after the patch release?

No and yes.

You need to have seperate cabins or you friend wont be able to join you.

You can talk to lewis the town mayor about that

Sadly, you need to have a co-op cabin present and it can't be demolished. However! You can move said cabin off to the side by talking to Robin, the carpenter, and both of you share the hosts house! Just make sure to clear a 3x5 (width x height) area for where you want to move the cabin too. Granted, it might be awkward to share one bed, buuuut...

EDIT: ...after just a glance at your profile, this might be the best solution for you. Happy farming!

You, sir, have realised why I ask such questions.
It's a shame I can't do something about the additional cabin, unfortunately. Maybe if I could use it for extra inventory space, I suppose, that might be a better use for it.

The farmhand houses are good for additional storage or crafting areas. The only thing you can't pick up is the dresser.
Edit: whoops forgot the bed doesn't move either.
