if you're in the actual levels (bottom levels, you can kill monsters and destroy rocks to open up a new set of stairs to go down but if you're thinking of ones that take you back up, you could probably back track
actually they're not that randomized, if you look carefully, the level patterns(cave and that kind of a castle with bricks) start to repeat themselves in each a bunch of levels, so, if you already found the stairs in a determined region of the map, further down when the actual room is the same that before, the stairs will be located in the same region(region not place).
