Modding
Hi everyone~ I haven't touched SV in a hot second, so I'm behind in the times. I'd like to mod the game (the only mod i'm focused on is a mod that let's me stop time or adjust it, I get very stressed with the current timelapse) but this isn't like skyrim where i can just download things from a workshop and plug them into the game. How do I go about modding Stardew Valley? any help is appreciate :)

You would download them from Nexusmods. You also would need SMAPI in order for them to work. Both are free and don't require you to spend a dime

For SDV, there is no official steam workshop like mod atm. There is a third party software which is a platform for the modders to make modding easier and standardized called Stardew Valley Modding API or SMAPI. Briefly, the first step is to install this software and then you can download the mods and place them in the mods directory to run them.

Here is a nice visualized guide for installing SMAPI from SDV's wiki,
Wiki's Guide[stardewvalleywiki.com]

You can download almost all of the mods from the Nexusmods,
NexusMods[www.nexusmods.com]

You will need to make an account over at the Nexusmods to download the mods.

Have fun modding :tabbycat: :tabbycat:

It seems most stardew mods on the nexus have a manual download, how do I load them in in regards to smapi?
