Where do you find coal? I found it before, but I forgot.

What do you do with the plush bunny you buy at the egg festival? Is it merely decoration? Or do you give it to someone?

How do you win the egg festival? I lost.

What do the male marriageable candidates like? I'm thinking about going after Alex if he's a marriage candidate. I'm still a little confused on this part as it seems everyone has a heart/circle by their name.

How do you access the forest the wizard was talking about?

What's a good way to get down the first five levels in the mine? Are the stairs/ladders in random spots each time?

I saw one cutscene of a villager. How do you unlock more cutscenes?

Alright that is a lot of questons and I will answer a few for you.
Coal can be found by cutting down tress or mining. I keep the plush bunny at the end of my bed as a decoration. Alex likes Eggs so i would try to get chickens before romancing him - if you hit the ESC key you can check your heart rating with villagers. You unlock cutscnes by building up heart rating with a villager. There is eggs scattered all around the town square at the egg festival, just be quick. You will unlock a recipe to build stone stairs and they are used to quickly go down the mine levels.

These are an awful lot of questions. Most of which are answered in the Wiki: https://stardewvalleywiki.com

Small amounts of coal can be found in dig-sites and by breaking rocks in on yor farm. More is available in the mine. Or, buy it from Clint. Make it in the charchol burner.

The Plush Bunny is expensive decoration.

Look on the wiki: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Alex for a complete list of his likes and dislikes.

You need an iron axe to break the log at the forest entrance.

Go to the mines the first time on a lucky day. you should be able to get down five levels very quickly as luck gives you ladders close to where you entred and less monsters to deal with. The ladders are random.

Cut-scenes happen when your actions trigger them. They depend on variables such as your current profit, your friendliness with a particular NPC.

Where do you find coal? I found it before, but I forgot.: You can either create them with 10 woods and Charcoal Kiln or harvest them by hunting dust spirit, which is located at 40th floor.

What do you do with the plush bunny you buy at the egg festival? Is it merely decoration? Or do you give it to someone?: Decoration

How do you win the egg festival? I lost.: Run around and collect eggs. I think you get a hat by winning.

What do the male marriageable candidates like? I'm thinking about going after Alex if he's a marriage candidate. I'm still a little confused on this part as it seems everyone has a heart/circle by their name.: N/A

How do you access the forest the wizard was talking about? His tower is at left side of the forest, which is located at the south of your farm.

What's a good way to get down the first five levels in the mine? Are the stairs/ladders in random spots each time?: Destroy rocks with pickaxe and pray that ladder pops out. They are all random.

I saw one cutscene of a villager. How do you unlock more cutscenes?: Raise friendship/heart level

You find coal by mining.

Just use the plush bunny as a decoration~ it's very cute. <3

Be as fast as you can. I've never won it before but I'm sure it's possible.

They all like different things. You can find them on the Stardew Valley wiki. (just look up something along the lines of ''Alex Stardew Valley'' and it should be one of the first results. This is a really helpful place to find information since it has all of the schedules of where the characters will be at what times and what they like.)

Go to Marnie's Farm (you can access this from the town or by leaving the bottom exit of your ranch.) and go right. That's where the forest is. There's apparently a secret forest, as well, but I haven't found it yet.

Bring staircases once you've unlocked them for the mines as a sort of backup in case you need to quickly get down a level. Go on lucky days (you can see what days are lucky by looking at the fortune teller on your TV.) since the ladders will appear more frequently. I'm pretty sure it's all randomly generated, and sometimes the next ladder can only be found by killing all of the monsters in a level. If killing the monsters doesn't work, just break rocks until you find the ladder.

You can unlock more cutscenes and ''heart events'' by becoming better friends with the villagers. Do this by talking to them daily and giving them gifts.

Thanks, everyone. I'll reply if I have anymore questions.

You have to gather at least 9 eggs to prevent Abigail from winning and to take the prize yourself. If you win the first time, you get a Straw Hat, and if you win them afterward, you get 1,000 gold.

All marriage candidate has a text: (Single). I'll list them: Bachelors: Alex, Eliott, Harvey, Sam, Sebastian, Shane. Bachelorettes: Abigail, Maru, Leah, Haley, Emily, Penny

The Egg hunt can be hard the first time if you don't know what you're doing. I actually found a Youtube Video on how to beat it. But here's the basic strategy-

Head SW of your starting position towards Sam's House. Keep in mind you'll be picking up eggs along this route. First one should be just above Sam's house near that fence. You head south before heading east along the river. Head towards the Graveyard before heading for the Bridge that goes to the Beach. Head north from there towards the Mayor's house before heading towards the spot where you started. You're basically walking in a circle to get these eggs. I usually get 12 if I don't run into anything, but most of the time I get 10. Like I said, if you need a visual example, youtube would be best.

I know how to get and where to find the Mayor's shorts. But for Pam's pale ale, how long until I get a keg because I've been storing up hops.

Also, how do you get to level 15 in the mines? The green mist keeps on getting me. Any strategies you use to beat the green mist? I've only miraculously survived the green mist once...only for it to get me on the very next level. I noticed the green mist causes a lot of the buzzy insects to swarm and attack me and it turned a green slime blue. I have the leather boots equipped along with a wooden sword (I think) and a topaz and the other ring you all buy it at the Adventurer's guild in the beginning sans the leather boots.

How do I activate Alex's third heart event? I have him at five (5) hearts.

The Keg crafting recipe is tied to a specific Farming level, and Farming experience is gained primarily by harvesting crops (but not forage items grown from Foraging seeds) and doing animal-related things. In short, you should expand your farming operations if you want to increase your Farming level faster and get that Keg recipe sooner. (Check the Stardew Valley wiki's page for the Farming skill for exact mechanics.)

So, I accidentally canceled Linus' Fall request/quest which was to find his berry basket. Then, I found it directly after. I tried giving it to him, but it says "wrong person." I have the basket in a chest. Do I have to wait a year to give it to him again or is the quest lost forever? I can't go back. I'm already days ahead.

I got second place at the Stardew Valley fair. How do you get first place? Do the star tokens carry over from one year to the next? Because I had enough to get the rarecrow (turnip head), but my inventory was full. What's a good strategy to get 2,000 star tokens?

How do you get more hardwood? The only place I've seen it is in the mines.

How do you get star tokens from the target minigame at the Stardew valley fair? I can hardly aim well enough to get over 25 points.

The quest is basically lost.

See the wiki to win the grange display:

https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Stardew_Valley_Fair#Grange_Display

your goal is to buy the stardrop. After winning the grange display bet on the spinner:

https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Stardew_Valley_Fair#Grange_Display (see spinning wheel)

Don't attend the fair with a full inventory.

You can get more hardwood in the secret forest. It's beyond the large log to the left of the ♥♥♥♥♥ wagon. You'll need a steel axe to chop down large logs. Bring a weapon. The stumps regenerate every day.

I don't get star tokens any other way than from the grange display competition and the spinning wheel. My fishing is not that good and I can't use the slingshot to save my life. :P

From your first post: Alex was fine as a husband. I've also married Sam and Shane. There's not a big difference between the candidates that I've seen. Mainly what kind of gifts (so far food) they give you.

Not sure what forest the wizard is talking about that you mention. That whole map is referred to as Cindersap Forest: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Cindersap_Forest

mines: the ladders down are random each time. The ladders up to the top are fixed. Every 5 levels unlocks a stop at the elevator. There are 40 maps, they repeat every 40 levels with a different look and different monster and metal ore availability.

Cutscenes are triggered by heart levels and being at the right place at the right time in the right season, sometimes in the right weather.
