It really slows things down when you're enjoying the mines, which I can only do about 5 levels before it's midnight after I've tended to mycrops and animals (of which I only have 6).
I suppose it makes sense and I could just go tot he mines in winter or on rainy days but still.
2. not having enough time to do everything at once
3. events that are placed in such a way that you are forced to partake in them if you want to go to the main city center
4. when you open up 40+ geodes and they all give you stuff that you already have in the museum collection
5. hay that costs ungodly expensive and not having enough to feed your animals without going broke
6. Shane acting like an unlikable ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 99 percent of the time you talk with him.
2) Hidden mechanics like Krobus having different stock on different days, the TV waiting nearly two years in to say "Remeber....X" when there was no tutorial on it in the first place (fishing hints), etc. Reading endless Wiki pages is cheating, as most of the info is derived from delving into the code, and should not be necessary in such a simple game. It would give the characters something more meaningful to say. It could even be parcelled out as manuals to teach the player the receipes, and create a more organic system of progression.
3) Inconsistent gameplay design - Either this is supposed to be an ultra-casual with no lose state, or it is supposed to be complicated and dangerous (e.g. Skull Caves requiring special foods, potions, and specific equipment).
4) Balance - or lack thereof, for quite a few aspects of the game in and against the player. This does overlap with #3 but not toally for all items. Quite a few items are just useless clutter and waste time, while others (fruit) are so overwhelmingly useful that they preclude just about everything else. Once you know that Krobus sells cooked foods on Saturday, you can just get take-out with all that crazy money you made with the fruit (even if you do not convert to wine).
#1 is the only one that need to be fixed, the rest are just personally annoying.
Also, then cutting grass with a Scythe you have a chance of getting "free" hay if you have a silo.
This way having animals is almost inexpensive.
