Can't Exit Mine

Once I enter down first ladder below entrance, I cannot get back out. Mining car inoperative, elevator doesn't work. If I work way to say 5th level, elevator only takes me back to level with mining car. Help

Did you try the stairs that go up?

You exit the top level (with the mining cart) the same way you entered, which is at the bottom of the screen. To reach the top level take the elevator, or the ladder up from any level.

You unlock the mining carts through completing one of the community lot bundles or by paying Joja Mart, depending on which (CC or Joja) you choose. The carts are essentially a fast travel system around town.

The room with the minecart IS the entrance. Just walk to the bottom of the screen.

you can only go every 5 lvls, so 5, 10, 15, until you get to the bottom, so once u get to the 5th level you can only go thru the ladder

You can only use the elevator every 5 levels. In between those levels you can always use the ladder to get back to the entrance.

Yup, I forgot how I got In! Thanks a lot for the helpful replies. That darn entrance/exit hidden at bottom of screen wasn't exactly obvious -- but then again I can be pretty dense.
